i know this is probably an easy one, but i'm a newbie and have a 96 lx thats completely stock and am looking for a cai, but whats the difference in hp/performance in a aem cai and a 30-40$ one that is another brand? thanks any help is appreciated

 

nothing. there's no difference. it's just a pipe w/ a filter. but the aem has a C.A.R.B. sticker which means it's legal

In my opinion, a pipe is a pipe. I have a $40 no name brand intake on my civic si and it worked and fit perfect. U cant get too technical with a pipe and a filter.
