i imagine AEM makes an intake for your 97 HX, yes. Just search different online stores, they will say what model/year the intake will fit. Just find one that fits your application.

actualy, it really depends on the intake manifold as to what CAI will fit from AEM, if your engine bay looks like this:

you can use the CAI for the DX/LX models, and it should have no issues

if your engine bay looks like this:

you can use the CAI for the EX models, and it'll have no issues

the difference is the location of the throttle bodies in relation to the intake.

In a DX/LX with the D16Y7, the throttle body opens upward

in the EX with a D16Y8, the throttle body opens towards the passenger side.

I am not sure if the HX is similar to the Y7 (I believe it is), or to the Y8 (I think it's similar to the Y7)

your engine (D16Y5) is a bit different from both, since it features the VTEC-E system

^ i was thinkin the same thing, like using a similar intake. I googled it and found a few things: http://enc.drom.ru/3141/< thatsa foreign website, but it has the y5 in the same category as the y8, and i also found a picture of the y5 IM/TB and its side mounted, as opposed to the top mount y7 TB. I'm thinking you probably use a 97 EX CAI and it should work. I dont know though, just looks that way.
