Default AEM V2

I saw that someone mentioned the AEM V2. I've been thinking about getting that. Whats the true differance between that and any of their other intakes. I've already ruled out a CAI, I really dont care to worry about rain (i've read alot of posts regarding that, i just dont want to worry about it, besides its for a daily driver anyway.) I know that the AEM V2 is a butt-load of $, i've gone to the AEM webpage, but seems a bit biased in my opinion. Anybody know the differance in performance????

Thanks.

The difference in performance is not much. The v2 has an extra tube inside the tube that causes vibration waves and makes a slight difference in performance.Hope this helps.

The v2's revolutionary breakthrough in inlet system design delivers more horsepower and torque-throughout the entire rpm range-than any other performance air induction system. The AEM V2 Cold Air utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping), to create multiple frequency sound waves that help charge the cylinders with air throughout the entire rpm range. Utilizes a complete hardware kit with soft mounts for a guaranteed perfect fit. Unique, Titanium-look zirconia-based powder coating reduces heat soak and dnhances looks. One-piece, four-ayer, cotton-guze AEM air filter eases installation and features an exclusive air horn design that improves performance.

Well thank you. But I've read that before, I guess i'm really looking for a comparison. Does it really make a differance worth the money? You say it isnt much, but to go from $100 to nearly $300, thats quite a differance.

Theres not gonna be much of a difference with any aftermarket intake. You may get an extra 1-2 horsepower out of the V2, compared to a normal sri. I have a V2 and i would recommend it but I got mine for 200 off ebay.

If you do end up trying to get the V2, then check Ebay. You can find some amazing deals if you search.

By the way, your transmission shouldnt have an affect on your intake, so it wouldnt matter if it were manual or automatic.
