Default AEM V2 Install

(hope it is ok to post this)

I just had to say how much I am digging my new V2!! I did my first install and it has turned out GREAT!! But can I tell ya, therewas a bunch of unneccessary crap in the stock inlet system! That thing I took out was MASSIVE!! That whole set-up was HUGE! My new V2 fit perfectly. I was a bit surprised.
It took me about three hours to do the work (but keep in mind this was my biggest project so far on my car-so don't laugh) . I am kind of clumsy and dropped a socket, which then bounced off of something and into the underside of the car. UGH!! that held me up for about 30 or 45 minutes. Then I (tried) to get all fancy and wanted to use the clamp that came with the system (even though instructions stated to use the stock clamp) I monkied with that for about 30 minutes, then decided to use the stock clamp. Otherwise, it went well and I LOVE it! Much more "peppy" and the sound is great! (I have this paired with GReddy EVO2) Next is a new header.
So, for anyone asking how much HP will an intake or induction system add? Well, not much, but will make your ride feel peppy and if you are buying quality parts, will sound great. My V2 SCREAMS at about 4-5000(ish). Good stuff! Get the AEM V2!

I am going to take video tonight or tomorrow, BUT my car is filthy. Should I film from the inside or have someone tape outside the car?

My v2 came with clamps that didnt even fit around the air filter. I had to go the only open hardware store all the way across town by the time I was almost finished. Make sure you have an impact with you try to use the stock bolt from the motor mount. If you don't have one you can go to Pep Boys and they will do it for you for free.

Wow. The AEM V2 is amazing... I'm really impressed. It makes the entire engine sound considerably smoother and deeper. With the hood up, you can just sit there and listen to it "hisss" as it sucks air in.

It was an extremely easy install. Only took about an hour. The only issue I had was breather hose which came included was about an inch too long, so I had to cut it down a bit to prevent it from kinking. All other parts fit perfectly.

Also painted my brake calipers black today, damn they look good.

Just ordered a Megan Racing 4-1 header I'm going to install next weekend.
