Default AEM vs K&N

I am going to get a new intake for my Civic. I am just wondering which would be better, AEM or K&N. One of the factors is it needs to have the CARB E.O. number. Both look like short ram intakes, AEM has CARB EO but K&N says it is not CARB exempt. Here are the two I am looking at:

http://www.autoanything.com/air-inta...4A2462862.aspx AEM at $99
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=63-1017 K&N at $122

Which one would be better for my Civic..

"one of the factors is it needs to have the carb e.o number"
"aem HAS carb eo"

Get the one that is legal. They barely give you more power as is, so you wouldnt be able to tell the difference if you got to drive with both of them.

If you want to make any kind of power with an intake get a CAI. AEM makes a nice one as well as the V2 which makes even more power. Both are carb legal.

While we are on the subject. Would anyone recommend the K&N Typhoon CAI. They have one at autpartswarehouse for like 270? I was thinking about picking one up here today from them but im just looking for a second opinion.
