so im going to be installing a header on my 05 civic si b/c no mechanic said they could. Does anyone have any useful tips that will help me. Are there any specific torque specs that i need to tighten the bolts too. Any advice would be appreciated.

well, im starting the install now, so i'll see what happens

 

my crappy walmart tool kit definitely isn't going to cut it, so it looks like I'll be searching for a competent mechanic. there's just not enough clearance to effectively use hand tools.

 

yes, there are specs, either read directions that were included, or read the manual. and there is a bolt torquing pattern that is required to keep the header from warping. and yes, k headers are one of the biggest pains to install. most people that do the k swaps or rebuilds usually install them before the motor.
