Any tips on improving my chances of finding a hatch?
hey guys,
it's pretty sad but i've been looking online for a decent, unmodded 92-95 hatch in the pa/nj/ny/md area for almost 3 months now and i've come up empty handed. i've spent one hour each day of those months going through ebay, autotrader, craigslist, cars.com and these forums to find a decent car.
the problem isn't finding the cars. there have been several decent ones that have come up. the problem is that in a matter of hours or sometimes even minutes after being listed, the cars are snatched up.
am i going about this the wrong way or anyone have tips on improving my chances? i'm sure my persistence will pay off eventually but i'm trying to make it sooner than later. thanks.

What distance are you setting the search engines for? You might try expanding your search a little... I know you may not want to travel as far for pickup and inspection... But good luck finding one....
better yet find one with crappy ebay parts. that way when you get good, quality parts you will appreciate them more (plus you will probably gain more over what you would starting with a stock car)
