Default Best exhaust?

What is the best exhaust for my 99 si? I was looking at rs*r, greddy, tanabe, and the N1. I like the rs*r but dont know the specs on it. And i dont think it is a catback system. So help me out. im lookin for a good PERFORMANCE upgrade. THanx

RS-Rs are a 2.5" exhaust, really deep sounding, and they're ceramic coated to keep the heat in. keeping the heat in keeps the velocity up, which increces horsepower. they run 450-500

greddys are by far some of the best sounding exhausts out there. but theres nothing much more special about them. they run 450-550

ive never heard a tanabe, but from what ive heard, theyre a little more nasaly than the previous two, which i take as a bad thing

same with the apexi N1. its a little more high pitched, and some people dont like it that way. i dont. they run 350-400

one you may wanna look into for sound/price is megan racing. they sound almost as good as the greddy evoII, but they're much cheaper. forty04 got his delivered to his door for 307 off of ebay. im guessing they run about 350-400 normally.

another one people like is magnaflow. i personally dont like the sound, but its basically a little more throaty version of the megan racing, and about the same price.

if you're on a budget, holley thundermuff is the way to go. they never go over 300 bucks, but the canister is HUGE. street sniper has one, and when he first got it he took a picture of a canister next to a pro football. the football could probably fit in the canister. so, as you can imagine, this sucker is LOUD. i think he took off that canister and replaced it with a magnaflow muffler, which usually runs 60-100 on ebay. he basically had a 250 magnaflow exhaust.

now, i dont have much experience with Skunk2 exhausts, but ive heard one. and they sound really good. dj_ipirate put up a clip of his in another thread...look for that. im not sure what they run pricewise tho.

those are most of the major exhausts, theyre all more or less the same performance wise, soundwise they range from similar to extrordinarilly different, and some are more expensive than others. you can take you pick from the info ive provided and other info you may stumble across

NO such thing, everything is based off of opinions, your best exhaust will be stainless steel or titanium becasue they wont' rust

Yea, I like the sound of that thermal, but I think they're pretty expensive though.
