best inexpensive muffler
I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but I went several pages into a search and didn't find what I'm looking for..
my car is a 94 civic 1.5L 5spd, 222k miles. the current muffler is on its last leg. I want to put something that flows decently, but I'm not trying to spend a lot of money and create a loud race car. I bought the car for cheap to get me good gas mileage...and it does that well.
I know magnaflow is good and quiet, but is there anything else that is cheaper, flows better than stock, and is quiet(quiet is very important to me)? I just want the muffler itself, I have a nice small magnaflow tip to put on it.
thanks for any help.

you can buy decent tips off ebay if thats all your lookin for. As long as the rest of the exhaust is stock, You could go with an apexi n1 off ebay for like $20-30. If you leave the silencer in they stay pretty quiet. how ever thats only if you still have the rest of the stytem stock. I.E if you have the converter taken off than it's gonna be louder and raspy sounding. If you need a whole system you can usually find some cheap off brands on ebay as well but you never know how they'll sound. Magnaflow would be the way to go. maybe try and find a used one or something.
apexi world sport 2 (ws2) - $350
greddy is quiet also but one of the most expensive out there
And I wouldn't buy a used exhaust, you have no idea what kind of use/abuse it's been through. I would just buy it new.
