Default CAI or SRI?

hey guys, quick question here. I have decided to go ahead and buy some performance parts for my new ride before i go all out on the appearance aspect of it. Recently i have decided that i really like the AEM products and i was wondering whether it is better to go with a Cold Air Intake or a Short Ram Intake system. It is the first mod that i am doing to my car and would just like some advice about each and if any of you have installed them tell me about it. I drive a 2001 Civic Ex, would i have to take off the front bumper to install the CAI?
If you can help me out on this that'd be appreciated! Thanks!

if you search, you'll see that there's a topic with the exactly the same title as yours, with the exception of the word or (and a question mark): in your title, the or is lowercase. in the other one, it is in CAPS. so when you search, the right one will look like this:

CAI OR SRI
as opposed to yours
CAI or SRI?

cai will give you better times down the track, sri is better throttle response for rolling starts and typical street racing. decide what you do more of then make your choice.i live in arizona and in the winter time it keep it sri and in summer (like now) i use my extension and make it cai. better for the motor itself

but he is correct about the better throttle response. imo the sri is i little louder. but will bring in more heat off the motor. i think injen makes a sri with a heat shield. hope that helps but def. search and see what you find.
