HEY WHATS UP MAN IVE GOT THE SAME MODEL AS YOU SO I WAS IN YOUR SITUATION. I GOT THE HKS MUFFLER AND IT IS ONE OF THE BEST (IF NOT THE BEST) SOUND EVER. WHAT I DID WAS LEAVE THE SAME PIPING AND JUST REPLACED THE STOCK MUFFLER FOR THE HKS ONE. NOW, THAT DOES ABSOLUTELY NO GAIN IN POWER BUT SOUNDS GOOD. IF YOU WANT THE POSSIBILITY FOR SOME GAIN IN POWER THAN I SUGGEST GETTING THE MUFFLER BUT GETTING SOME CUSTOM PIPING AT SOME MUFFLER SHOP ITS VERY CHEAP AND EASY.ABOUT 100 BUCKS.THE MUFFLER COST ABOUT 300 NEW. USED, I GOT IT FOR 150.

Holy caps lock man!

I like megan products as they are great quality and a good price. I would get a megan header and cat back and as for the intake id get injen, aem, or rock an ebay sri.

RE: exhaust

magnaflow is nice and deep, but costs around $400 for a cat-back.

This is my car with V2 intake, dc sports 4-2-1 header, and RS*R exmag exhaust.

(creaking is cuz it just got off the jack stands and suspension hasn't settled yet)

RE: exhaust

Intake:
AEM/Injen CAI or SRI will suit most people, depends on how long of an install you want

Header:
DC/Megan Racing

Exhaust:
Megan Racing, GReddy, Apexi, RS*R, MagnaFlow....

pretty much anything name brand won't sound like crap

Currently in my setup for exhaust, I have around $800 not including installation, some welding, and a new o2 sensor

figure around $1000 including o2 & AEM SRI.

Downfall of the DX, you'll have to change your entire exhaust in order to keep it legal for emissions in most places, so you'll have to get a catalytic converter in addition to the catback system & header, and extend the o2 sensor wires to reach the new location of the catalytic converter

I've been working on a write up of doing the DX/LX to EX exhaust conversion. It should hopefully be up this week.

RE: exhaust

Intake: Ebay CAI to SRI: $35, AEM Dryflow filter: $35, Injen heatshield: $10

Header: Ebay header $55, i guess i've gotten lucky with none of the welds breaking so far, if you want a nice cheap header get Megan, $120 usually and good quality

Exhaust: High flow cat/test pipe: $30, 22" Magnaflow resonator: $60, ebay muffler: $30, piping/welding/bending: $160, so $280 for a custom catback that sounds pretty good, although i'll be upgrading to a Netami Twin Loop muffler ($120) soon enough. I've learned hte hard way not to cheap out on exhaust components, they really do sound like sh*t
