how much does a cat effect air flow out is it enough to take it off

keep the cat in my friend...its only like 1hp, and if you live in a place were you get tested for emmisions your screwd, just get a hi-flow cat..that would be the best

+1 for keeping the cat. also keep in mind the environment, cats are there for a reason. I also hate pulling up behind someone who does not have a cat and there car smells like sh*t

idk i've heard that they are a bottle neck in the exhaust. my buddys s2k feels really good with a test pipe and it doesnt really smell that bad. i was thinking about getting an obx high flow cat when i order headers. idk man its up to you i dont feel that bad about it.

no..iv never heard of anyone failing emmisions from it anyway, its still a cat...its just better flow, like a intake or cat back exhust

OBX ones will fail.

look into a Magnaflow or (if you can afford it) Random Technology.

i've got a dc sports race header leading to an evo2 exhaust and it doesnt smell to bad. im runnin a bit rich right now but other than that its good. Come smog time tho i gotta change it back to stock. CALI sucks
