yeah it does. I'm pretty sure all aftermarket performance CAI make noise.

the v2 sounds really good because it has the expanded air chamber and they are supposed to give the car decent power

the V2 is a hybrid intake. as in hybrid i mean its a cross between a short ram and a cai. It doesnt bend down like the AEM CAI and its not as long either. Its a little bit longer than the SRI and still pulls in engine bay air as well as some cold air. I have had the CAI, V2 and SRI.. IMO i like the CAI best but since in NJ i live in the boonies and rivers overflow and i decided on staying with the V2. Its loud on WOT, and you feel a pull in the high rpm range. hope this helped.

^ not true, all V2 are about 95% CAI all the way except only a verrry small hand full where there a cross but about 95% are full CAI, filter i is inside the bumper. Yes they do make sound but is a very sweet sound nice and deep, adds better throttle response too
