Hey, you guys with AEM CAIs, have you ever hit that certain point on the gas pedal when your intake makes the highest wissing sound? The other day while out cruising, i found that with the gas pedal barely pressed there is a certain spot that just screams!!! Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this thrill!!! It has to be because the throttle body is almost closed and the air is being sucked in, whatever it is, it's pretty cool!!

 

i got a SRI on my civic but it makes that wistle noise pretty much whenever you accelerate, unless u just push the pedal less then a couple inches or w/e, i love when im on the highway and get next to a car, then press the pedal down and they look over cuz u no they car hear it..or mabey there just thinking theres somthing wrong with my car lol

 

I got a vidoe of my car making that noise, and its pretty loud, you can definatily hear it in another car even if the windos are closed. But, I also have a Skunk IM and Holley TB. If I can only upload my damn video, which I haven't been able to do, you would be able to hear what it sounds like.

 

I have a K & N CAI and it makes a whistling sound when I get back on the gas after shifting. Sounds like a turbo sort of.

In first gear if I'm accelerating kinda slowly it makes a high pitched whistling noise in the 3k-5k rpm range.

 

I have a V2, when its idling at 1-1.5k is when I hear the whistling noise, otherwise it's much deeper.

 

no offense......but if u turbo ur car ull reaize it doesnt. I had a cai on my car and i loved the sound. Now im boosted and theres no comparason.

 

an intake sounds like a vaccuume cleaner kinda. and a turbo sounds like a high pitched whislting then a PSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHT at shifts (if youre cool and have a BOV).

 

i know some uncool kids that have BOV's.
