custom cat back?

RE: custom cat back?
I doubt it will be less than $100 but it shouldn't be more than $150, which is still totally worth it considering an Evo is like $600. Do as much as you can yourself, like taking off the old exhaust and bringing it to them for a template, and putting the new one on yourself. Cat-backs are one of the easiest things you can do since it just slides into rubber hangers. Labor is usually the most expensive part of any project so the more you can do yourself, the more money you can spend on your car. Plus you get the satisfaction of a job well done and getting to know your car better than just filling up the gas tank.
Like I said, the resonator is just there for sound and doesn't add or take from any Hp.

hey man Im 16 too and I have a 00' civic EX. It's my 1st car but I already knew a little about cars. I had a custom straight pipe made from my cat back to a universal muffler as well. It worked good. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than a name brand exhaust and does just about as good. It sounds so much better without that muffler after the cat being gone. I have an intake and header too tho so that helps a little with sound. But yea, that should work fine. Go with it

I think you'll have to save up a bit more cash, because I doubt if you'll be able to get it done for under $100 anywhere.

I went to the muffler shop and they said that to get a 2.25' pipe from the cat-back will run me 100.00-150.00
