I looked up DC Sports headers for my civic. my options are a 4-into-1 and a Race header...both for somewhat the same price and it says both would fit on my engine correctly. so, a friend of mine owns a small tuner shop nearby and he said that if i put either one in with my WS2 exhaust it's gonna glue me to my seat when i put it to the floor...he likes to bullsh*t a lot so i dunno if i should believe that or not?....and which header should i choose?

 

The ex 05 comes with a 4-1 header already although its not the quality of a dc header. The pipe tubing seems thicker on the dc header and of course it looks better under the hood. You wont see alot of difference down low with the 4 into 1 but uptop I can tell you it made some difference. Before I installed the header I topped out at 120mph(In the open desert of california of course). After installing the DC HEADER i was able to reach 130mph (Shocked the hell out of me). I would never recommend going that fast but I had to see if there was a difference. If you have a full catback and intake you can expect to have a nice sounding car as well as some nice gains uptop.......................... The race header will eliminate the catalytic convertor and Im sure you"ll see even more gains. If you dont live in california get the Race header.

 

yea go whit the race header and a straight pipe or get a racing cat but u gonne have to most probebly cut of some of the cat that might sounds like a hole lot of work but its realy not that bad and make it sound not louder but defenetly betta the whit just a straight pipe and whit a good hole sistem u coud get up to 13-17whp out of it thats not exactly gonne glue u to the sead but u gonne feal it

How did you get past your speed governer??

 

Thats why I was so suprised I was able to go faster I thought it was governed @ 120 , from everything I read (but not Factual), but I have a 7th Gen so it might be a little different, I dont know. My speedometer Goes to 140 , but I being totally straight on this when I tell you I was passed 120 for sure......

 

Our 7th gens are definately governed at 120, no matter how many mods you put on your vehicle it won't go faster than 120 unless you remove the speed governer.

 

Well I guess my speedo was wrong because Ive hit 120 before but it was past that For sure. Who knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no big deal.

 

I'm not tryin to be a dick, I was hoping that you removed the governer and could tell me how.

Maybe Next Time Im in the desert [8D] Ill video It but 130 IS dEFINITELY between 120 AND 140 hahahahahahaha Do you think my speedo is busted.
