Default Dual Vs Single Exhaust

Today i heard of this guy who took out his stock dual exhaust on his S2K and replaced it with a single exhast. Its a Veilside single exit catback exhaust system. Is that really gonna give you more performance? It costs like $800.

2 exhausts wont neccisarily give u more horsepower unless you have a twin turbo, one pipe for each turbine. but if you dont the split in the exhaust will cause turbulence, potentially hurting your performance

the s2000 is a four cylinder, so its really not necessary to have duals in the first place, its more for looks than power. so a well made and tuned single exhaust, should show a decent, if not huge, power gain.

its basically a Y pipe that splits your single exhaust pipe into two... then to 2 separate mufflers on each side.

Some guy at my old high school just hung a second muffler on the other side. That's it, absolutely no piping running remotely near the thing. Rice at its worst.
