im almost 100% sure it wont fit . LX/DX intakes should be the same but EX is different...im guessing that u bought the intake for ur LX? so then its not designed for EX
BUT dont take my word for it...im planning on doing the swap myself and was also wondering the same thing. I have a weapon-r short-ram

found my answer:

it will not fit. the ex engine has the vtec solenoid where the mount goes for the aem v2. you could always leave it hanging i guess.

here's a DIY at 7th gen, very informative - near the end of the 1st post, you get info about intakes and their fitment betwn the trims: http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=169411

you won't see massive gains from the upgrade but you'll definitely get some. the vafc2 from apexi will adjust the fuel maps i believe so you'd probably need a pro tune in order to get the most from the upgrade. you might be able to just buy a piggyback system from AEM or Greddy though, you'll have to check

Wait what? I have an 04 LX and I am getting my header swapped to an EX this thursday! To get the whole header changed means you have to convert your whole exhaust to the EX.. you'll need a new cat to replace the one you'll lose from your LX header (it is built in)... It can be done...
