Exhaust
I have a 2000 Honda civic Lx i'm thinking about getting Magnaflow performance exhaust i was wandering if i would feel any difference in power or weather its just going to improve my sounding can someone help me out
well the more air you can get into your engine and the faster you can get it out you will get more power.. so i say yes.. stock exhaust is very restricting . I have Megan headers and getting ready to take this apexi muffler off and get something that lets it flow better.
I agree with this but horsepower refers to the strength of the engine. More horsepower will usually make a car accelerate faster and reach a higher top speed. Generally speaking, you can be assured a 280 hp car will whoop the crap out of a 90 hp car. but like you said just adding exhaust you wont actually feel how fast you made your car. Every little horse counts for something..
I see what you guys are saying i'm not really going for top speed at this second i'm trying to get my acceleration good. i've been looking a Headman headers and megan racing headers but i also want a good clean sounding to my car. So far i've seen civics that are awesome but sound like a pissed off bee it makes a buzzing sound instead of a roar you know what i'm saying.
I plan on putting this on my civic and taking my apexi muffler off. I know these things are super cheap I know from experience these things sound great. I have them on my 05 Mazda 6 and it sounds like full exhaust but I just replaced the mufflers with these.
