My cousin and I just got done installing the Skunk2 cat-back on my 03 civic ex, and we noticed that the mid pipe
sits right against the frame; and when I drive you can hear the pipe vibrate loudly against the frame....does anyone
else who has this or a similar cat-back exhaust setup have any experience with this problem and how to fix it? any
suggestions would be appreciated, thanks! (header to come in the near future!)

 

Did you try pulling on it really hard? Maybe just pry it away a little? That wouldn't hurt anything...

 

I had that problem with mine and I took it up to where I got it installed and they removed the heat shield that mine was hitting. But I have a 96 Civic so it might not be the heat shield with yours.

+1, unless you car is only 1 inch off the ground longer hangers really won't hurt anything and should stop the rattle.

 

thanks for the suggestions....i actually took it to a shop in town here and had them
work with it....so far the rattle is taken care of, but if it should come back somehow i'll
install some new hangers
