Quick question... when I am driving through rain my car starts to shake and bog down... this has been a constant thing since I installed my SRI, then CAI, and cat back exhaust... I recently put everything stock back on -except the exhaust- and the car STILL shakes, but only after driving in the rain for a LONG time... could it actually not be intake but exhaust?

 

ive personally never have heard of exhaust causing the car to shake. Did it shake before the intake was installed? Have you driven in a lot of rain or high water since the intakes because water could have gotten in the engine.

 

It sounds like a dizzy issue and is probably just a cooincidence that it happend at the time of install for the cai

 

^ unless when he was installing the CAI or SRI he bumped into the dizzy cap and cracked it with a wrench or something.... just a thought

 

it doesn't have a distributor, guys

It's funny how quickly you can forget what someone drives when you talk to thousands of car people a day.....even though its plastered across his sig

 

could it be the cold water hitting hot exhaust pipe, causing a reaction. or possibly getting water into the tail pipe?

 

It literally has been doing it for over a year now... even with the stock air box on it and everything it still does it... As soon as I drive over 30mph in puddles it starts to shake... it really is the thing I hate the most about that car... With short ram it was really bad... with CAI it was just bad... with bypass valve it was less bad... then I had the CAI moved into the front fender on other side of splash guard and was THE WORST! Then I put the original box back on and just over the weekend it did it just a little until I revved the car high and it stopped.

And I had the intake first but it didnt rain until I had already installed my exhaust!
