FILL IN THE BLANK!!!
I am about to be the test fitter for westimports' new header by a company called thunder (saccicons was a tester on his civic as well)...
This is what I am faced with right now... I have drawn it... I have an LX model 7th gen...
What do I need to connect the header to my aftermarket exhaust that has been WELDED onto my old pipes? SInce my cat is a part of the header, the muffler shop said they would weld the exhaust kit onto where the cat usually is.... so I plan on taking off the OEM header and chop off the part to where it is welded to the aftermarket exhaust... WHAT IS NEXT?!

RE: FILL IN THE BLANK!!!
hm...i guess i do not follow you, but usually it goes header, cat, cat back, so i would assume if your cat is attatched to your header you would need a new car or chop the one off your headers and reuse it. you will need new flanges though.

RE: FILL IN THE BLANK!!!
You know lately I have been getting into drawing my problems as a source to find a solution... I did a diagram on the difference between projectors and HIDs.... I did a pretty good job!

RE: FILL IN THE BLANK!!!
I know with my Magnaflow, it came with an extra pipe for LX/DX owners to get it to that catback. Not sure what exhaust you have...I'm kind of confused by what you're asking too. If you want the extra pipe, its yours if you pay for shipping...its 2.25 SS. I believe it was for an 01/03, but it seems like the same style.
You probabaly already know this, but the EX has the cat where your aftermarket piping is welded on. The LX/DX have the cat right under the header.

Bakertime you are a genius... that is what I needed to know. Also many thanks to Belmont... So I have come to an understanding... I will put the EX header on my LX, I then will need a new a/m cat and then midpipe to connect to my exhaust kit, i will then extend my o2 wires and I am then good to go! Thanks a ton guys!
