well what type of filter is the AEM? if its a dry flow you should use thier dryflow cleaning kit!

keep it with the same brand cleaning solution.... i know my dryflow says not to use any oil on it... ive watched their cleaning video which is preaty much just soaking it twice and clean water with the solution.. it comes with two bottles... looks preaty straight forward to me. but im not sure what type AEM filter ya got...

and SRI or CAI... doesnt matter your cleaning the filter not the tube...

I did it without any problems. Just make sure it's not dryflow.

I've also had problems finding the right sized filter for my AEM intake, the dryflow one I bought was too big, but it fits on my cheapo ebay cold air that's not on my car.

I'm in pretty good need of a new filter though.

uhh is that really an AEM intake? dosnt look like it sits right and that's not an AEM filter. looks like and ebay bought one with AEM stickers slaped on it..

use matching brands(IE: AEM cleaner with AEM filter). ur not supposed to use a cleaner on the dryflows since there no oils or anything like that on it. a real AEM filter will prolly have "AEM" stamped somewhere on it and if its a dryflow, it'll prolly say so on it. i believe all the dryflows come in that gray color, atleast from what i've seen, not 100% sure tho..
