Ok here goes! From reading several posts on switching out my exhaust to be an EX exhaust so I can obtain a Skunk2 catback I need the following


1: EX Headers from DC is the brand I am going with
2: Hi Flow cat Not sure what brand but if you can give any recommendations that would be great
3: an O2 Simulator

Is there anything else I would and how hard would it be for me to install. I really have no experience as putting exhaust on.

looks good. i dont think you'll need the o2 simulator tho. maybe, maybe not.

 

You are going to need 2 o2 simulators and you will nee to get a high flow cat to replace your test pipe. If you dont, you will be in the same boat as me right now with an exhaust system that sounds like ***. Mind you Ive got the right stuff like Magnaflow and Chikara but once you replace the LX header with the aftermarket header, you will lose your cat. A high flow Magnaflow cat will replace your test pipe and every thing will be peachy. BTW, my car hauls *** now because of the header.

 

where should i purchase the o2 sims at and how much do they run? What kind of headers did you get?

 

I think I am going to get a random tech cat but i only see one for the EX. Is that the one i should be getting?

 

im pretty sure it doesnt matter for the cat...but you may want to email them and ask.

Wait, I thought you couldn't use a simulator for the first O2 sensor, because the ECU uses the readings to adjust the air/fuel mixture... did I miss something?
