there are some people on 7thgen that know their stuff, but from my experience on that site, it's majority people who don't know or want to learn, they just want answers and have someone else work on their car. Lot of "appearance" people there. But it does have some decent information.

 

why pay to have it put on when you can do it yourself?

i can understand surtain things like things that are way out of your leage. but a cat-back? its to simple. just have to use some muscle.

i have always said. that half the fun of moding your car is the instalation. you can look back at it and say. "dude i did that myself"

Yeah i want to do it myself but i will be putting the headers on the hi flow cat and the o2 simulator and the catback. isn't there some welding that needs to be done?

 

the only thing you will have welded is the cat to the down pipe or what ever its called

 

Would i need a downpipe? the DC header already has a downpipe on it or it looks like it. it's the 4-2-1

 

if you don't have a turbo, you don't have a downpipe. it's just header > cat > exhaust

 

ok yeah i don't have a turbo so i won't need one and there is no welding involved therefore i am going to attempt this myself. I have my spoiler and intake coming then im going to order the exhaust next

 

Ok well im getting ready to order this stuff. Looking at the random tech cat it's an L shape so how does a 4-2-1 header fit into that. my guess if i wanted to use the random tech cat i need a 4-1? can someone clarify this for me?
