That is in consideration...how much can that truely help tho. My local guy says it will just add sound, not speed in my situation. Any suggestion on types/brands?

To be honest with you, bro, I didn't get any gains when I put my header on but I figured I just had some tuning to do to iron out the kinks. I was just like you and had a SRI and a Cat-Back and when I put my header on...nada. It did get louder though. But, most people will swear by them. I have heard gains of 10-12Hp with a good one. I am the only person I have ever heard of that didn't get a solid gain from a header. Did I mention I have a 5th gen too? If that helps. I am hoping it just needs some tuning because it wasn't cheap. Maybe get a 6th gen intake manifold and throttle body, that'll give you some better throttle response.

Will the IM and the TB be safe to install...i mean they wont neceessarily cause huge "side-effects" it i put them on...i mean im just looking for a safe way to add a little push off the line.

RE: General help

It's definitely safe for your car because it's just letting it breathe better, but the install is going to be more entailed than a header. Are you doing all of the work yourself?

RE: General help

kind of...my buddy owns a performance shop and he has a bay so i go back and he helps me put stuff in...so i will kind of do it but he will help with it all. best thing is he was the head mechanic for the honda dealership for 15 years...so he has covered my car so im in good hands there. Thanks for the help on that...i will definately look into and see what my budget can handle and what kind of kick i can get from those
