Emails usually never get answered with big name companys. I would call them. I've heard of this before and the owner ended up just buying a new exhaust system.

Clutch,
You are so right. So this is my update. A guy named Tim emailed me back today and I'm going to try to forward the email. Tim works at autocarparts.com and has been very helpful, but things don't look good.

Clayton
The below if from one of our installers.
Not very helpful, but I want to pass it on to you, as it is all I can gather
Read it over, and reply back, and I will get the RMA # and return instructions

The only thing i can recall, is, back in 1996 or 1997, we had in stalled
a GReddy SP exhaust (before the SP2) on a 1996 civic EX coupe automatic.
after a couple of weeks, the customers car developed a high pitched,
ringing (like the reverb of a desk bell) somewhere in the 2700 rpm
range. we had this car on and off the rack multiple times trying to
diagnos the problem, it did seem as if the sound was actually coming
from AROUND the resonator, but we couldn't tell if was actually coming
from INSIDE of the resonator. we had gone through everything you guys
have tried. we even started checking the manifold, secondaries,
catalytic, shift linkage, everything anywhere close to the exhaust.
after about 20 hours total (spread out over a week and a half or so) of
trying to tweak and adjust, we decided to try a new SP exhaust. only 2
days passed before the sound re-emerged. MIND BOGGLING. at that time, we
decided to try the "defective" exhaust on one of our other employees'
95 civic EX coupe, manual trans. no problem what so ever. after a few
weeks, we decided to try the second SP on that 95 civic (we swapped the
2 cars). 96 automatic, still buzzing...95 manual no problems again. by
now, us, as well as GReddy, were pretty baffled at the situation. we
decided to try a POWER EXTREME on the 96. customer did not return after
that. however, she did call and leave a message on our answering machine
about 2 months later, that the buzzing sound had not returned, and she
was going to keep the power extreme exhaust. so we had 2 used SP exhaust
that we sent back to GReddy for a warranty DENIAL, as they could not
find any kind of defect in the exhausts, what so ever. we susequently
had installed these on.....can't remember exactly, but i believe another
96 manual trans, and another 95 manual trans. the exhausts were fine on
those two with no problems.

we decided, that this particular vehicle and set up, was creating some
kind of strange resonance which created this buzzing/ringing noise to
omit from under the vehicle.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me back.

Best Regards,
Tim Piscitelli

What the f$#k???????? So I paid around $500 for this top of the line Evo2 exhaust and it seems that I'm going to be stuck with a noisy *** exhaust.
Okay let me calm down..................Alright, this is what I am going to do. First, I'm going to buy new gaskets and put a copper exhaust sealant that I found at O'Reily's this weekend and put the Greddy system back on. Then, and only then, if the system makes noise then I'm going to call Greddy and bitch, then send the system back to Greddy and have them test it. If it is defective, then hopefully they'll send me a new one(system), but if not then I guess I'll have to figure something else out. I'm thinking about cutting out the resenator and having a shop put in a new one. What do you think?

No I don't know the trim levels of the other cars he was talking about. I could always email him. I'm not sure if it will help. How do I make a decent appeal to Greddy? I mean, if this isn't the first time something like this has happened then how do I get the point across to a Greddy service person? I'm really starting to second guess this whole Greddy thing. It sounds kinda stupid, why would an auto vs. a manual make a difference? Same motor, same rpms, same car. How would the transmission make a difference?

So if the do give me another exhuast??????? Should I get a different set-up? I'm not sure how many different kinds they make, but if you read the earlier post the installer stated the SP2 did the same thing.
