Default header performance

I'm looking into possibly purchasing some headers(for performance). I am curious as to how this affects performance and by how much? do you think that $200 for some DC Ceramic Headers (4-1). I got a 1.5L civic. Thanks alot.

Where you gonna try to stick that second header??

A 4-1 header will improve top end power, especially if you combine it with an intake and a full catback exhaust.

I'm not sure how a 1.5 will respond to it, but a 4-1 header will improve the top end power on a B series. So I assume the same would be the truth for a D series.

a header is your best bet for power in the exhaust area and DC makes great products. As far as where the power will be noticed... im not sure.

4-1 = high end like 2000si said
4-2-1 = mid-range.
the 4-2-1 will give more power in the top end too, just not as much as the 4-1. if its a drag racing thing, get the 4-1, if its a daily driver/auto-x thing, go 4-2-1. unless the price is right. 200 sounds pretty good, just make sure its not "DC style" or something.

When combined with CAI and cat-back exhaust, expect about 16hp gain. That's a rough guestimate, but I bet it's pretty close. Don't expect huge gains. Also a header alone without CAI or exhaust system will give you about 6hp, 10 at most.

Yeah, you won't gain too much (I'd say around 8HP just with a header). A header won't do much unless that exhaust can get out thru the rest of the exhaust system.
