Wuzzap guys, I own a Honda Civic 01 LX, the other day I fell into a ditch *slaps self* in a rainy night. Well anyways I had plans on my first mods which would be a brand new catback and a CAI but now that's right after I fix my bumper. Anyways I was browsing through the forums and I finally made my decision on a CAI and Im gonna go for a AEM CAI, now my only problem is deciding on a catback/exhaust system. What im looking for in particular is something that will give me gains of course but as well as a loud deep toned sound. The price range im willing to spend on it will be around $400-$700 hoping I don't have to spend up to the max but that's what I have in mind so if you can help me I would really appreciate it.

I came across the Magnaflow, HKS, and Flowmaster, as well as Megan, but it seems that Magnaflow will give me about 5-8hp which I think on my behalf is not worth it. On the other hand Megan will give about 10-15hp but it's not suitable with LX only EX's. Im trying to find a Catback system that will juice up my Civic LX 01 with at least 10hp or more. Thank you once again guys.

 

belive it or not, they will pretty much all put out the same. Its sound is what boils down to it. Many times a company will qoute an HP gain that has been extremely inflated.

 

Yeah, you can never be too sure what gains you will have unless you test it or something. I know some have converted the LX Header to a EX Header and got the exhaust system for the EX. Look into it. Magnaflow is great and sounds nice, right Remy? The one I order fits all three LX,DX and EX. I'm getting the EX Header soon and should be nice.
