I have a Random High Flow. You'll notice your exhaust will be a bit louder, you might even notice a boost in hp, but it's not necessary.

would you recomend if you were gunna mess with it the use a high flow or run w/out...this may be a dumb ? but if i orderd something wrong it would **** me off...when i get a d16 i should order exaust stuff for that motor such as the cats right?...i always thought most cats were universal but if u need to order by part no. then it should be for the other car not my 91 right?

I would recomend trying to get the cat for the d16, but it all depends on your states emission laws. A straight pipe wont pass in California.

most cats are universal, yes. Also they are still restrictive so you wont get much out of them. Maybe with FI you will see a little gain... but dont go w/o a cat period. It will reduce the backpressure that your engine needs, not to mention its illegal.

I have Ractive headers and a downpipe, and a RACTIVE high-flow cat to match along with 2 1/4" piping all the way back, and a SS Magnaflow Exhaust, and yes it is extremely LOUD if you step on it, my car is definitely one of the loudest anyone has ever heard, I'm going to buy a silencer to hopefully muffle it a bit, the cool part is that if you shift before 3,000 rpms it's fairly quiet (comes in handy with cops around) I also live in So Cal, but luckily I have a guy that can smog anything for $150.00 Also, my 1st o2 sensor is in the headers and my 2nd is just tied down in my engine compartment (loose) My check engine light hasn't come on so I have picked up the extension to run it back o the aftermarket cat. (It's been 3 months) Also the"Aftermarket Cat's" as they call it is not really a catalytic convertor, just a resonator which makes your exhaust even louder! My power increase has been very noticeable especially 4,000+

i bought a hi-flow cat for my car and found out when i went to put on everything from the header back that there isnt any room for the cat. the second piece of my header connects straight to cat back. so i wasted $55 on a catalytic converter. my car is definatly the loudest around where i live and i dont have a cat so if that makes it louder than i would hate to hear it then
