depending where you live the 3 bolts that hold the converter to the mid pipe maybe seized. but on a good day usually 30min to swap them out. just 5 bolts nothing major.

just remember that removing your cat is illegal in all 50 states. Unless you're a full blooded mechanic and can do everything yourself, expect most shops to reject working on your car.

You would definately be better off getting a hi-flo cat, Random Tech makes cats that flow just as good as a straight pipe and keep you emissions legal.

^ +1 I would suggest summit racing, I have dealt with them before and they are good. You could try jegs as well.

yeah I bought a hi flow cat from summit a few days ago and received it today. They are very quick and they give you $10 to spend towards your next purchase whenever you first order.

getting the stock cat off my stock exhaust was a B*ITCH...ran with a test pipe for a while till i got it off. the bolts were rusted to the cat...i ended up breaking a couple of them off somehow. WD-40 will really help.

Do you guys know if they make a high flow cat for a 04 civic LX? How does a cat affect the performance? And does it make it louder?
