Default Installing Throttle Body

hey guys just a quick question. my throttle body is bad i found out, so i need to replace it obviously. honda said it was going to cost like 600 for the part alone, but i see one on andys auto sport and various other places from 250-450 bucks. are these missing something that the honda one has or they just effin me over? also, is it a pretty simple bolt on process?

are you sure it isnt just like a map sensor or a throttle position sensor? i have never seen a throttle body go bad...just the electric parts that go onto it

oh im not sure actually, the dude at honda just said that it was bad because the current running thru it was too low or something or that nature? im gonna talk to him in a little bit to verify, but he said somethin like he cant actually JUST replace a sensor its gotta be the whole thing. im pretty sure it was the throttle position sensor though.

They sure are. It's manufacturer's way of earning money, there's nothing wrong w/ your TB but if your TPS goes you need to buy a new throttle body... well if you aren't inventive, create your own flat head in the bolt w/ a die-grinder and unscrew the TPS, then get one from a junkyard and do the same to get it off, then screw the TPS and bolts back in.
