probably not, but if you can get it to fit, then it should be ok. intakes arent as sensitive to design as exhausts. but ive heard from a few people that they can be hell to get to fit. and notice the shipping cost too, along with tax if applicable. shipping is 20 bucks, so that almost doubles the cost.

 

I doubt it would be worth it. These kind of intakes generally require custom fab work and they rarely turn out looking decent at all. I would save up some money and get an Injen or AEM. Theyre worth the extra price since you dont have to deal with as much aggravation getting it to fit. On a 99-00 Civic i would recomend Injen.

 

Straight up dont buy it, for one his feedback is only 97% thats bad, only buy from sellers with 99% or better i bought a header from a guy with 97% pos, and I got the run around and a month later a crap product, read the feebacks. I will try to give you a link to a good cold air intake i got for 18 bucks its also a one peice. I am very satisfied. I will try to find it and post again.

 

grn, that would be useful info, i would appreciate a link if you find it. for now, here's an injen cold air intake for 80 bucks plus shipping, however the seller has zero feedback.

never ever ever ever ever ever buy from someone on ebay with negative or 0 feedback. there are getting to be more and more scammers on ebay every day. another thing to look for is if they only accept personal checks or money orders. if they dont take paypal, dont buy from them. you can dispute the charges with paypal if they dont send anything, with a check, youre screwed. but never ever ever buy from 0 feedback users. its too easy to buy a few things to establish yourself on there to just try selling stuff with a 0. and look at the auctions they got their feedback from if theres only a few. its pretty obvious when theyre shady. you can even buy feedback on ebay.

 

That is not even a cold air intake, more like a hot air. Here is my advise don't buy a short ram intake for your car you won't notice any difference just as well keep your stock box and but a K&N filter for it. And besides neither one will work for you if you got D16Y7 engine.

Ofcourse you won't get a 10-15hp like they claim, but you will like how the engine sounds and fell little better acceleration

 

vovka, that one looks pretty nice. does your car have a D16Y7? if so, were you able to just bolt that on? or did you need to get it fitted at a shop?

what years and models have the D16Y7? my civic is a 2000 SE 4-door. i think its the same as a DX, but with a few added features. is the D16Y7 any good?

Yea, I have D16Y7. All CX,DX, and LX 96-00 have that engine. Not sure about your SE. Is your troutle body going up or pointing to a passengers side? And no you don't need shop to install it for u it is really easy. I scrached mine during installation cuz I was being dumpass I started installing it befoure even taking a good look and fitting it.
What do you mean if D16Y7 is good. If you mean for mods it good motor but not the best. If you really want some serious power out of your ride i suggest a swap for a b-series motor or if you have G-is to throw away K-series is even better.

 

i thought about trying to get the b-series engine, but it looks like it would cost quite a bit. i cant really afford to spend thousands at this point. so it looks like im stuck with the D16Y7. what mods do you have on yours?
