when installing the cold intake should there be 2 or 3 holes, i thought that there should be 3, 2 for hoses and one for a sensor.
the one i purchased said it was for a 99 civic but there are only 2 holes for it, can n e one help me with this?

There should be 3 holes... 1 for an o2 sensor 1 for a little hose to the block and a really really big hole that connects the whole thing to your throttle body.

theres usually one hose that connects to a nipple on the intake (and the breather valve on the block) and the one whole for the entire o2 sensor grommet/sensor off of the stock airbox.

on my stock intake there was the O2 sensor hole and there were 2 holes that connected to the block, 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom.
The new intake i have has 2 holes, 1 for the hose to connect to the valve cover and 1 for the O2 sensor, and i have 1 hose just kinda hangin there suckin in air not connected to anything lol.

ahh!

stop saying O2 sensor, there is no O2 sensor in your intake.

there should be 3 holes: one hose fitting, one hole for the hardline, and a grommet for your intake air temp sensor. Assuming you're talking about a 99 civic ex. What intake did you buy?

by o2 sensor i think we meant the intake air temp sensor, sorry about that. I've never seen the hardline you are talking about on any 6th gen intake, where does that attach on the stock intake system?

i dontthink either of us realized we were saying anything wrong, or else we would have used the correct terminology.
