Default just bought a civic any suggestions?

I've recently purchased a 98 Civic hatchback DX and want to start upgrading asap. I think im going to start with a cold air and intake manifold and shifter, followed by a throttle body and headers and exaust later down the road. Anyone have any suggestions on which ones i should buy? or any other part i should look into?

60mm will be big enough. Also, if you're not 100% sure on how to install the Skunk2 I/M, just pay a little extra and have it installed by a professional at a local shop.

Just to ask a silly question.... If I put a Cold Air Intake in my 96 EX, but didnt beef up my throttle body or injectors, would that cause issues?

no, nor will it be much of an increase in power when compared to a perfectly working stock intake system.
