according to aem, they make the intakes' length based on their R&D so this greatly differs from vehicle to vehicle
for some car, the v2 is 2 pieces, for others, it is only 1.

exactly, i dont know on all models, but on my 96 its a cai and i know on the 05's its more of a sri. Also, dont worry about hydrolocking unless you regularly drive through a lake. You must completely submerge the filter to worry about hydrolocking. Driviing in the rain won't do much.
Yeah, they being AEM, do. However, due to the dual chamber design of the V2, the bypass-valve (bpv) isn't compatible. Sorry about the confusion regarding the V2's length...I should've thought a bit more before I typed.
