i thought the V2 was like the hybrid AEM made? thats what my friends told me cuz it was shorter than a CAI but longer than a short ram.

according to aem, they make the intakes' length based on their R&D so this greatly differs from vehicle to vehicle

for some car, the v2 is 2 pieces, for others, it is only 1.

likewise, for some its more like a SRI, for others its more like a CAI, and like your friend said, it could potentially be a mix

exactly, i dont know on all models, but on my 96 its a cai and i know on the 05's its more of a sri. Also, dont worry about hydrolocking unless you regularly drive through a lake. You must completely submerge the filter to worry about hydrolocking. Driviing in the rain won't do much.

Yeah, they being AEM, do. However, due to the dual chamber design of the V2, the bypass-valve (bpv) isn't compatible. Sorry about the confusion regarding the V2's length...I should've thought a bit more before I typed.

^^exactly. They make bypass valves, but on standard cai's they eliminate some of the power. Also, as i said earlier, they are useless unless you plan on driving to atlantis
