Default K&n & AEM

Has anyone combined an AEM intake and a K&N air filter? I've read the debates going on about intakes and ****. One option is to get an ebay intake with a K&N air filter. why not just get an AEM CAI (for example) PLUS a K&N filter? Wouldn't that be even better? Or am I totally off?

K&N are good but it really doesn't matter. I have a AEM CAI with a K&N and I had to was it at least once a month and it got real old. Other filters are good too because they don't have the "oil" on them but its all in personnel preference.

the filter alone it just to get better performance from your stock system, to get max perfomance you need to get the hole intake (AEM for example) and it will have a really good filter that comes with it

There was a comparison test done with all the major companies air filters and as it turns out the were all pretty much the same. The big difference comes with the upgrade of the actual intake pipe. Feel free to slap whatever filter you want on the end of your pipe. Pick somthing that matches your car.

Berz out.
