Default Which kind of exhaust is better?

I'm looking for a exhaust tip for my car. I don't want the full system cause I don't have the money, I'm not extremly worried about horse power but a little gain would be nice. I was wondering what is a good kind and size? I want a deep tone if possible, any info will help. Thanks.

It will be loud alright, but not the kind of loud people want to hear. Ever heard of popcorn poping that is what it will sound like.

uhmm......the exhaust tip WILL NOT change the way your exhaust sounds. If you're talking about a muffler alone, then yes, it's going to sound like **** (also when you rev, you will hear occasional misfires that sound like popcorn popping), will yield you 0hp, and will make your car look like a ricer. Either get a tip for like $10 from autozone, pep boys, etc., or save up for a full exhaust.

the deeper sound comes from opening up your entire piping... a tip will be fine apperance wise and price wise, if you just buy a muffler then thats where you get the horrible ricer sound.

Just thought to ask it here. I heard that the best company for a cat-back system muffler is magnaflow. Its like $400 us on ebay but only for the muffler not the full exhaust. What parts are implicated in the full exhaust and what company has the best quality?

Thank you,

David

it seems to be the general consensus here that the best is Greddy, led by their evolution cat-back. (that includes the evo2, which is full SS, so its better for corrosion resistance)
