out of the engine comes the header... then that directly connects to the cat converter ... then that would connect directly to my catback exhaust? are there any little parts in between these? other than gaskets?

 

If you're talking about a full header, then yes, it goes right to the cat. And yes, the cat-back exhaust continues on from there.

 

some setups have a resonator, thats what you might be seeing.

 

And if it has a resonator that sucks... the resonator takes away sound... thats why i didnt get one

 

theres flex-pipe or 2ndary pipe that has the resonator on it.thats inbetween the manifold and cat. there is also another resonator after the car as well..i wouldnt sugest getting rid of the resonators and cats because that is gonna not sound cool and be very loud. best idea would be to keep the res. and go with a high flow cat or replace cat with test pipe(illegal)..

 

just a tad on the ricey side if you get rid of all your resonators.

 

a tad? i didnt have a resonator when i got my car, and i got the quietest muffler they had at the place i went, and its still too loud for me. and its pretty damn ricey sounding from the outside.
