Y8 manifold is log style manifold, with the TB side-mounted, allowing for much better flow compared to the top-mounted TB D17 IM. Doing the conversion makes the return fuel conversion easier bc you don't have to custom modify the fuel rail and allows the use of a FPR (in my case this will help greatly with my NOS kit (and it is a N.O.S. kit so I'm not just mistaking N2O for NOS)); I had an idea on how to install the dry kit on the D17 but when I put the 'vic away for the winter I decided that this would be ideal time to do this conversion; basically taking the safe route and installing the dry kit by the book. Oh yeah and prolly the best advantage to this conversion is the Y8 IM isn't PLASTIC! The Skunk2 IM also has bungs for N2O wet kit(plans for that much later).
Yes it will fit with some modifications, I believe that on the IM the holes for the bolts need to be drilled out and re-tapped, the rest is mainly electrical and sensor modifications.
You can also use the Y8 ARP head studs on the D17 from what I hear.

Yes I'm going with the Skunk2 IM and 66mm TB, AEM fuel rail and AEM FPR, already have a Walbro 255 pump, not 100% sure what intake I'm going with but I've been looking at the Weapon R Secret Weapon.
