I can make you a muffler from a gerbil cage and some dryer hose for cheap. would that still be a good muffler? r&d costs money, which is reflected in both the price and the quality of the muffler you purchase. you get what you pay for.

 

but what is crap about that one? is it going to fall apart? or what?

 

that one in the link will rust quickly, only the tip on it is stainless.

 

what if my exhuast is a little under 2 inches and the only mufflers i can find are 2.5 inlet???

 

the 2.5 slides over you 2in pipe and gets welded on.

 

or could i buy adapter and clamp it on?

 

you came on here for advice on mufflers, no? Thats what you're getting. They are telling you the cold, hard truth. cheap exhausts are made from cheap metals and will rust and fall off.

So you can pay 50 bucks for an ebay fart can that sounds like **** and will rust and fall off in a few months or you can spend 250 for an Apexi that sounds decent and won't rust for many years.
