Default Making it dual

I might want to redo my exhaust and was wondering if making my 95 civic, a dual exhaust will change anything? Also, is it even possible to make it dual? Any info will be a big help.

In my opinion, 99.9999% of the time there is no reason to go dual exhaust, its just a waste. You wouldnt have any signifigant gain if any. Save the money, and buy something more useful.

I second that ^^^^^^^.

A civic engine isn't big enough to warrant dual exhausts. You would be wasting your money, and people would give it funny looks.

I wanted one awhile ago when I first started here and Ive seen pics of duallys on civics and eventually I came to realise that its a ricer idea... and no, it will not make any difference. The problem you will have is making the dual exhaust flow evenly, which will be hard to achieve.

Yeh, I put a link up last week about a Civic with 4 mufflers (he called it dual duals), and it looked like 1 of the mufflers wasn't even gettin any exhaust through it because it was clean as a whistle while the other 3 had exhaust deposits on them.

Here it is:

If you do it you have to get a nice looking rear bumper. You wont be doing true dual exhaust, it will just be spit to a second pipe.

[sm=signs006.gif] dont do it.. its a [sm=badidea.gif] because its [sm=lame.gif] and very ricey. save ur money for some real performace. dual exhausts only work for v6's and v8's, not ment for 4's...

It not fake if its funtional. I think everyone here is thinking duals have to come from the motor all the way back. Alot of cars dont do that, like the V6 accord. Its duals and it doesnt come from the engine all the way back as duals. Im not saying you will get much if any gains from it, but as long as its functional it does about the same thing as the big 4 inch tip. It would lonly help rid some of the pesky OEM back presure. I think it would be alot more rice to have a bumper with dual cut outs and only one muffler.
