Little update on the Ef

I messed up my sohc zc engine back around thanksgiving. Managed to get a Dohc Zc down at hmotorsonline and dropped that in about a month ago. Finally have had some extra money to put into my car so I got this in the mail today.





RS*r Exmag exhaust. so pretty...

I went to put it in today and quickly found out that the exhaust i have was a little off. There is no cat. There is no test pipe. Who ever installed it just welded the 2 bolt spring flange to all the way up instead of getting a test pipe to remove the cat. How i managed to pass smog in the past still gets me.

Anyways, one of my buddys might have a Bolt on cat that I can hopefully pick up soon and get this bad boy installed.

Hopefully i can find a decent set of ls meshes soon to start polishing. Car is coming together nicely

Ended up getting a test pipe for now..ill deal with smog later.

Actually my girlfriend got me that for christmas.

Financial aid paid for my exhaust...i still have income tax coming

 

lucky lol... i get income tax in the next 8-15 days.. my financial aid comes next month sometime

It sounds sick. Has a really nice tone to it. Not raspy what so ever. Quite for the most part.

How bad was shipping from hmotorsonline? I was looking at getting the DOHC ZC too. But mine will have to wait a lil more. My taxes are gettin me my hatch. =)

 

I drove down to LA to pick it up. Im only 3 hours from there. they forklifted it into the back of my mom's chevy tracker.

The engine is amazing. Only thing that was wrong with it was the timing was off, but what can you expect. Its a strong engine. Mike showed me everything on it like how the crank pulley wasn't chipped and all the plugs were there. Phenomenal service from Hmotorsonline. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an engine.

Hopefully I can get some rims soon and my car will come together quite nicely for the time being.

 

Well then when it comes time for my motor, I may just take off a week from work. Drive down there and pick it up. I know the shipping is pretty high.
I have heard nothing but good stuff from Hmotors. And I love how they include everything with the motor.
