New to this, HELP
Hey guys, I am new to all this stuff sobear with me. I just want to know what kind of modification you do "under the hood" to get more horsepower. I also heard cold air intake could save you gas cause it cools down the engine. To be honest with all of you, I'm not really into all the roaring noise and rumble but I've heard cars pass me by with a nice smooth low frequency whistle type of sound and just listening to that made me feel how smooth those cars were. Hope you guys could inform me, thank you.
a cold air intake will only give a few hp, which is not noticeable. you'll definitely notice an increase in sound, and also, throttle response will be better (throttle response is the responsiveness of the engine you push down on the gas pedal).
for serious power, people usually go swap their engine for a better one (k-series), turbocharge, supercharge, or use nitrous (commonly called NOS incorrectly; NOS is a company, nitrous is the product).

Yeah, well what about the smooooth whistle like sound, if I don't get horsepower then let me at least get 1 out of the 2. I'm NOT into that rumble harley davidsonesque noise, I live in a quiet neighborhood, hahahahaHA.
