I just put my V2 in yesterday, and I checked it out today, and the O2 sensor was loose, and coming out some. I think if I just left it alone it would've fallen out. What are the consequenses of having the O2 sensor out?

That is what I meant, the IAT. It seems the rubber washer thing that the sensor goes into is a little too big, so its not a tight fit. When I was taking out the sensor from the stock box, it was really tight in there, so I don't know.

i think they intended it to be loose, otherwise it would jerk with the engine and rip the wire... whatever, though. just wanted to see if other people's IAT was the same.

so if it falls out and I don't realize it for a couple of days, what damage could it do?

If the IAT is out of place (outside the intake), you can fool your car's computer into thinking that there is more cool air entering the engine than there actually is. This causes the engine to increase the amount of fuel that enters the cylinders, as well as altering the timing, thus creating more power. The tradeoff is that your car will loose fuel economy, although i can't imagine it's much

it'd probably get the opposite though, freely hanging around in the engine bay.

after all, it's receiving heated air from around the motor

How would I know if the sensor is broken or not working correctly, Since I put my intake in my fuel economy has seemed to slip, more so then it should.
