Default Quick question

my new cat back exhaust is a 2.5" diameter, and my stock cat-converter is obviously not 2.5" ... probly more like 1.5, so when connecting these ..they obviously wouldnt fit well would they? is it possible to connect cat back exhaust to stock cat-converter? I only am going to have this civic til August, and i dont want to buy a new header and high flow cat if i dont have to.

I don't understand your last statement. You are only going to have the car until August, then why do anything to the car?? That doesn't make much sense? Wait and spend your money on something else. To answer your question an inch is a big difference when talking about exhaust diameter. I was told here on the board that 1/4inch is okay maybe even 1/2inch but a whole inch is a big difference. Why don't you measure your stock cat before you order the part and figure out the diameter?

The stock catalytic converter on an 02 EX will work fine with a 2.5 inch cat-back. It bolts right up.
