Default Short Ram or no?

Hey guys-

Just wondering what everyone feels provides better gains? A short ram intake or a longer one?

I am going to be putting an intake on the Civic and have read that I might as well just pick up the cheapy on eBay over the expensive AEM, as they're all going to do about the same thing..

So, short ram or no?

Are the slight gains noticeable in anything other than noise and throttle response?

If you live in an area were there are sudden rain storms or rains alot i would stay away from cold air. But its mostly personal preferance because they add about the same hp.

the gains are too minimal to really notice. i have a sri and i have no complaints. i liked paying only 70 compared to 200+ for a cai.

I will be going with the SRI. The CAI will give you a couple more top end ponies but the SRI gives you more torque across the board... plus the price is right.

i have a aem v2 and it seems to get more gains then a cai and its sits like an sri. its loud, but deep and it gets power through all rpm's, i recommend it, its the best intake out there if you ask me!
