Default SRI project help

Hi, I have decided to finally start my first small project on my car. I have a 1993 civic dx sedan, the engine is the 1.5L. I was talking with a friend and he said an intake should be a fairly easy thing to do that will add some hp and better gas mileage.
I have pretty good mechanical ability/common sense, but never really have worked on cars. Today I took apart my stock air filter/intake system to just check it out and it seemed fairly easy. I did a little research on here and I want to put in a SRI since it looks easier to do.

Now heres the questions I have:

-I wanted to get a cheap one on ebay but I think I'm going to go with a name brand. I want to buy off ebay to save some money, do these items seem legit and do I get the cone with it or do I have to buy seperately?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AEM-S...em140219689211

-Also I somewhat understand how the installation works but what I don't understand is what i am going to be doing with the stock parts. When I took my intake apart today I noticed that there are a few plastic pieces under the filter box that suck in the air. Do I throw these away or keep them there?(pic below with arrows pointing to these pieces)

Thanks for all help
-Steve

By "cone" do you mean the filter?
Yes the filter comes with it.
Both of those look legit (check out their feedback rating)
Something I always tell people is if the feedback rating is below 98% then it's no good.

most of the time they will give you instructions with the sri about how to install it worst case you buy it and we all walk you through it haha its pretty easy i think theres a diy for it.

With an AEM you can always go to the site if you do not receive the instructions with your purchase.

Wow thanks everyone, that really helps. I still don't know what I'm supposed to do with the stock intake parts though.

Hang onto them. If you ever sell the car it will have more value with stock parts than with aftermarket parts.
