I asked Sam from Mission Speed to get us a member price on the twin-loop mufflers. He's lookin into it, and he'll let us know what he comes up with.

The way I understand it, the twin-loop mufflers are high-flow and add to your performance, while still being fairly quiet, if you compared it to a stock muffler. Now if you compare the twin-loop muffler with a normal single canister muffler, the twin-loop wouldn't be as noisy, but at the same time, wouldn't give you as much performance.

Overall, if you're looking for added performance (more than a stock muffler but not as much as a single canister muffler), and a quiet muffler, then the twin-loop muffler is for you. There's a bit of a trade-off to keep the noise down.

is the stock muffler really that bad?

i remember the stock pipe, on my 1985 toyota mr2. It was pretty nice and sounded good but not loud.

i like you you are all arguing over what exhaust flows the best and weather or not a silencer will defeat the purpose when all he asked for was a quieter muffler
