last night at the races i saw a crx with his passenger side headlight out..when he poped his hood the intake was the strangest thing i have ever seen..it looked like a short ram but had no filter..it was like a big round doughnut then the pipe..and the circle part of it ended right by the head light..anyone ever seen these..this is the first time ive seen it...do they help more, and anyprices?

 

it sounds like he was runing a velocity stack. yeah they make a little more power, but its not worth it to run without a filter on the street. you suck a few leaves or small rocks into your intake, and your motors done for.

 

yea i wouldnt run anything liek that on the street but it seemed like a good idea for the track...u know where i can find one and like what prices they would run?

 

no idea, though they are pretty simple, so they shouldnt be too expensive.

 

ahh i cant find one anywhere...it seems like such a good idea...the thing looked at the end of the pipe just like the turbo intake on a funny car or somthing..u know like the metal doughnut looking thing...man it was cool!..i wish i woulda took a pic!..but i cant seem to find one that is like that when i search "veloicty stack" all i get are different intakes like "AEM cold air" and what not
